and holdfast to this autumn afternoon

Home again home again

Daisy the blind goat wasn't so much on the lamb
But off on a little adventure
Happily she was found and reunited with best friend Merlin the sheep
Sometimes thing turn out just fine
In the end

friends in corners

a spider in the entryway
a spider by the patio doors
a spider in the bathroom

web tenders all

i guess that says something about our housekeeping
and i'm glad it does
and that we share our space with so many spinners
so many weavers
so many nimble ones

hue

there is this colour in the sky today
tonight
and i don't quite know how to describe it

almost ochre but not so yellow
more like a wash of grey

everything bathed in sepia
filtering out the fires the storms the floods

i don't know how to be because i don't know how or what to feel in this light

but maybe this is the new normal
what we have to hold onto

still september
still in shifting september

late summer slumbers

warm breezy afternoon
soft light on the flowerpots
someone snoozing beside me
the gifts of September

in the ether

a hot and still Wednesday
as summer winds down
and flitting about freely
a single lemon moth

I'll be sure to remember you
one afternoon in January

integral elements

the name for a computer program
generating poetry
(in dreams)
and also something to do with algebra

9/1

warm wishes on a cloudy day
and another trip around the sun
