lockdown dreams

many vivid images appearing nightly
with eyes closed
last night a festival
an underground performance
overseen by friends
promises to meet up later for drinks
ascending the stairs
commuting across the city
waiting for buses that never seemed to arrive
finally hopping on a train
crossing over the city and a body of water
vehicles floating and some submerged

lots of traveling in dreamland
joys of journeying
from the pillow perspective

fine feathers

big big joy
delivered by a tiny tiny bird
hopping on the patio
in the waning
early evening sun

leaves

each day more and more and more
they just keep on coming
another
and another
and another and another
no stopping them now
somethings
spring eternal

tuesday

and then there are somedays
during the pandemic
when you remind yourself
that it's okay
to just feel
sad

Monday, 11 May 2020

i'd like to think...

that butterflies may have heard
whispers of all that's happening
here
there
and everywhere
but continue on buttering
continue on flying
continue on butterflying
here
there
and everywhere

skiff

on an otherwise still Sunday
a little shower of snow
May days on the 53rd parallel

Friday, 1 May 2020

the buds are showing up

in growing numbers
on limbs all around
the word is out
get busy!
busy everyone!
time for a riot
a riot of green

May Day no shows

the robins are on strike
today
