mobility

and as below so above
robin 28 sprite and springing
360 pirouette
the man in the hat yesterday at the book shop
and again today on 18th
all strangers and friends converge
we all are traveling
motoring
flying
soaring
on the inside
soaring
so ring
ring
ring
ringing home

Licorice sky

Purple doesn't taste like grapes
So much as lavender kisses
Sugar ropes and thrill gum
Rain clouds full of snow flakes
And platform shoes
Purple tastes like shag lint
(in a good way)
And frozen chive blossoms
Thawed in the sun
Is 'warm better'?
Purple wagging tongues will tell

Please ring bell before passing

Wake us when you go
Please ring bell before passing
Sunshine over snow
Please ring bell before passing
Peal away the skin
Leave us with something delicious and delicate
Flaming within
Please ring bell before passing
When you're ready to overtake
A little tinkle before passing
Hoarfrost on the cake
Please ring bell before passing
If only In your heart
We'll hear it loud and clear
A tiny ring before passing
Departed forever near

jan jan

This first month grey
Gets a little long in the tooth
A dental film that keeps on looping
Relentless in minutes hours days of gloom
Rooms to roam and get lost in
Sliding down the hall in socks
And driving with EFE turned up high
Helps to beat away the blues
Brushing if not flossing
The snow is melting on the bird feeder
The squirrel is maxxed out
Tall tail
Peanuts claimed maimed devoured
Putting the yam jam in jan jan
Hawaiian impatiens impatient for spring

what in TarNation?

Tar Nation?!
what bubbles up in Tar Nation
stays in Tar Nation
for now
ahhhhhhhhhhh
the land of miracle mud

what in TarNation?!
a little bit of
bit
you
men

New Year's Day Wasp

On the 53rd parallel
The night of the first
Wings, hums and stinger
A groggy guest mid-winter
harbinger of industry
And slumbers
Word nests and wispy blankets
Unexpected visits from ethereal friends
Fading paper whites and crisp yellow jackets
There's a place for you next to the pomegranates
No need for resolutions
Fly as you are
