catkins blowing
on a cloudy
day
you hear them
before you see them
but then your heart skips
a beat with joy
listening to their
sweet song
and knowing that
once again
for another year
the robins
have
returned
the first butterfly
~
on the wings
of
hope
a beautiful
treetop call
sight
unseen
and as long
as there
are
birds
the tiniest sliver
of blue sky
on an otherwise
cloudy
blankets
pillows
loaves
peace and
sweet dreams
for
every
one
still
quiet
under a shroud
snow
