elevens

kitten snuggle love up to thigh
stereo tubes tinkling settling ebbing
pre Christmas cactus blooms waning
(early pink upstarts fading on limbs)
avocado chip fingers sliding on keyboard
tasty tasty tasty
recollections of near miss wipeouts/icy sidewalks/Marx bros. composure
Sunday's freezing rain come Monday
talks in Durban balks in Durban time for serious time outs
time for change in Durban
approaching the eleventh hour of the eleventh month
in the year of eleven
elevenses
elevens
eleven

oh

occupy humanity

all saints

a reprieve for geraniums
live to live another day
ebbing sun
fading lipstick blooms
another night
another day
crimson kisses
mountain ashfall
another night
another day

in this light

pixies run in circles triumphantly
aspen poplar cloaks fireweed
one mighty ageratum refuses to sleep
and all is possible
in this light

parkin

solidarity with all in Z park tonight
tomorrow's tomorrows
and onwards

chords

in the Ugly Guitar shop
a neck is swaddled in brown thermal longjohns
and the Y front covers the pick ups

lots more to choose from
maybe next time
in the land of nod

labour day
