like when a christmas cactus blooms
for the first time in years and years

the chimes are chiming
serenading the magpies
lulling the squirrels
and the edges are softer
as we all await
tonight's superlune

a little more light
in the dark days

burroughing

dig down
a little deeper
a liitle deeper
and you will find them
maybe a little drowsy
dormant
sleepy
but there you'll find them
the sparks inside
