sometimes it's possible
to rescue the small ones
before they fall into harm's way
like a spider in the bathtub corner
(just leave it alone)
or one in the clothes dryer
while tossing in socks and t-shirts
(gently escorted elsewhere)
sometimes it's possible
to rescue the small ones
and sometimes it's not
better to think of all
the many possibilities
